Cross the country

happyhappybirthday chups (:

X-country may not have been that great a waste of time, but it still is to a large extent, though I guess just hanging out with random people through the course of the morning is fun enough, especially “mess” run (mass walk/run). After much worrying, finally got my mum to fetch me to turf city early in the morning, and ended up reaching a tinge too early, 6.15am to be exact, and apparently the street lamps weren’t switched on there, and so waited on the car in the dark observing random souls wandering about quite aimlessly, until finally, decided to venture outwards. Ultimately managed to find my way to the right place, and met fab there, stuck around looking for fellow classmates, but the place was pretty much congested with year ones and twos mostly, but finally saw kiran, kenneth, leon, and later other classmates came along, took attendance, and slacked around for nearly 2 hours. In the course of those 2 hours, hung around with random choir people, and other groups of people, with funny people like johnsee going “click, follow”, and tagging along for a while behind me. Today seemed to be some mini choir bonding session too, since kept bumping into choir people, and ended up talking to them quite a bit. And well, was actually supposed to be in the competitive open girls category, but sandra and I delayed and procrastinated our registration until we couldn’t find our teacher-in-charge so decided to conveniently forget about the whole thing (sorry to our house, I guess). And yes, after what seemed like rounds of talking to different circles of people from choir, to class, to church… It finally came to the mass run section! Surely, you sensed the excitement in my voice, *cough*

Aye, made a pact with evelyn, eryn, janice to just walk the whole way, and so off we went with guys dashing past us “valiantly”, while we strolled in the sun, breeze and uh, interesting environment. On the way, met benlee, songs, chiam and so managed to form a group of choir people trooping down. And an interesting thing of the route was the whole, “I-can-see-you-next-to-me-but-blocked-by-barrier” funny issue, where our route consisted of this huge U-turn, where you are so tempted to cut, but cannot (integrity *cough THEO*), unless you are of course, choir people like johnsee, levine, albert, who at our calling to join the choir troop, cut over and re-walked the same route again. In the end, managed to somewhat form a mini choir troop walking most of the way, hardly any singing, but still, good fun and bonding. Some parts of the way, evelyn and I couldn’t stand the vast space in front of us so started running instantaneously and randomly, with songs, benlee and johnsee being funny and purposely outrunning us. And yes, quote benlee “karrot, why don’t take root here?” Pretty much ended the mass run(walk) as the last few, and I suppose this either reflects how bonded choir was, or how choir people cannot run, though yes, hasty generalisation in both ways.

HOME. Walked along with daryl and chong wee (and ted kin, hmm) to the bus stop, which if you ask me now, I surely cannot remember how, and took 74 all the way back to hougang mall, on my own, and yes, being ever so early, stuck around hougang mall doing some funny shopping and went to the library.

He formed my heart
Before even time began
My life was in his hands

He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He see each tear that falls
And hears me when I call

I have a father
He calls me his own
He’ll never leave me
No matter where I go

He knows my name
( I’m so glad i can say)
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear the falls
And hears me when I call

(He knows me, he knows my name)

He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He see each tear that falls
And hears me when I call

And he knows your name
He knows your every thought
He sees all those tears that fall
And he’ll hear you when you call
